Stepping Into Spring In New Shoes

Happy Monday, everyone! I’m soaking up every bit of my vacation, and keeping an eye out for fun trends that I might have missed living in a barn, lol. While I’ve been packing and walking through the terminal, I realized that my shoe game has changed so much lately. We all want to look chic, but let’s be honest—at 60+, if a shoe isn’t comfortable within the first five minutes, it’s staying in the closet. I’ve been hunting for that perfect balance of “modern style” and “I can walk in these all day,” and I think I’ve found the winners for Spring 2026.

Here are the three shoe trends that are actually worth the hype this season:

1. The Updated Ballet Slipper

These are the superstars of the season. Unlike those old ballet flats that offer zero support and always slip off, these flats have a higher neck (vamp) that hugs your foot. They look incredibly high-end and minimalist.

2. The Sleek, Low-Profile Sneaker

I still love a chunky shoe and I saw plenty of them while traveling, but the trending folks say you can’t go wrong with a low-profile sneaker. These look just as good with a midi skirt as they do with cropped jeans.

3. The Square-Toe Slingback

If you need something a little “dressier” for a spring brunch or dinner, the square toe is your best friend. It provides way more room for your toes than a point, but still looks sharp and professional.

Spring is a great time to re-evaluate your shoe game. There are so many wonderful options from casual to dressy, but all are very chic! Leave a comment below to tell me your favorite style!
