Greetings,
Thank goodness THAT is over.  Corporate life is not for me.

First, I had to attend a team-building, nail-biting overtime basketball game featuring rivals Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

Then I had to play pickleball and stifle my competitive spirit by not whacking the owner and CEO with a ball. Whacking is my go-to! I thought corporate types wanted you to lean into your strengths??

Then came the actual meeting, where the C-Suite folks asked me to share some of my accomplishments from this year, which I’m pretty sure isn’t even legal.

I don’t know for certain because I’ve never actually read—or signed—our employee manual.

This was pointed out to me after I “allegedly” grabbed another employee to pull them into the group photo by “aggressively squeezing their buttocks.”

If you want me to read something, do what the rest of the world does and make it into a movie. Duh.

After that work-a-thon, we attended a final dinner where NO alcohol was served. Is it any wonder that I need a break?

My friend, Kat, invited me to hang out with her a while and break in the new pool. I may stay a very long time. I'm pretty sure I have something like 12 weeks vacation coming. I’m still waiting for the employee manual to come out on Netflix, but that sounds fair.

I hope you're somewhere cool today, enjoying whatever makes you happy!
xo,
Lisa ❤️

I just got this skort and it is SO nice. The fabric feels great, and I was surprised to see that it's recycled polyester made from plastic bottles! Love the pleated hem.

Why should leopard get all the love? This cheetah print is very chic. I appreciate the ¾ length sleeves.
Pair it with these straight-leg jeans. Also available in light wash.
I love a good denim jacket, and this one looks very country-chic, lol.

I did my blood test with Superpower a couple of months ago and it was a very easy process. One of the things I learned was that my Vitamin D was low. And here I am – soaking up the sun like the doctor ordered!
86% off! Winter will be here before you know it. I would have saved this for Saturday's Steals and Deals but it's selling fast. Here's the short version of it.

This is the bed I want for my guest bedrooms. It's very simple and exactly the vibe I'm going for. Doesn't hurt that it's 20% off.
Same goes for the mattresses!
I've heard such great things about Olaplex and decided to try it. I brought it along for my trip.  It's too early to tell whether it's making my hair stronger, but the shampoo is thick. I don't know how to describe it, but it feels substantial.

I'm just making my Christmas Wish List in case anyone reading this is wondering what to get me, lol. This. Get me this.
My friend has one similar and she's been happy with the brand. 5 years and it's still going strong.
There are so many products I've never heard of, lol. I just ordered this to try. It's an oil that turns into a lather. I have very dry skin so I'm always looking for ways to get more hydration.

My Style – Button Down
The cropped length is great if you like your button-downs to skim  at the waist. No bunching is flattering for an apple shape.
You can't go wrong with a striped linen button down. It's relaxed but not sloppy.
Cropped, in chocolate, a trending color!

Living Well Tip of the Day
Use the "Physiological Sigh" for Instant Mental Clarity
The Double-Inhale Reset: Sit up comfortably and take two quick inhales through your nose—one deep breath, followed immediately by a second short "sniff" to top off your lungs. Hold for a brief second, then exhale slowly and completely through your mouth with a soft sigh. Repeat this sequence just two or three times in a row.
Why it works: When mental fatigue sets in, the tiny air sacs in your lungs (alveoli) tend to deflate, causing a slight buildup of carbon dioxide in your bloodstream that triggers sluggishness and brain fog. The quick second inhale pops those tiny air sacs back open. The long, deliberate exhale then dumps the trapped carbon dioxide and slows your heart rate, instantly balancing your nervous system to leave you feeling clear, calm, and alert without any jittery side effects.
