Selling Fast at Talbots

I took a peek at what’s selling fast at Talbots, and apparently we’re all thinking the same thing: give us the cute fall layers!

This is one of those pieces you’ll grab over and over this fall. Wear it like a shirt now and layer it like a jacket when the temperatures finally decide to cooperate.

Now THIS looks like fall! I love the hunting plaid, and a shirt jacket is perfect for those days when it’s too cool for just a top but nowhere near coat weather.

Mom picked a good one with this cardigan. It’s easy, relaxed, and the texture keeps it from looking like every other basic cardigan in the closet.

A good pair of ponte pants can solve a lot of wardrobe problems! These have the polished look of pants with a little more comfort.

Mom throws me a short dress every now and then, lol. Add boots and you’re basically dressed for fall without having to think too hard about it.

This is such an easy dress! I love something you can throw on, add a cute pair of shoes and earrings, and be out the door. Great job, Mom!

My Style: Colorblock Sweaters

I’m having a colorblock moment. 😂 They’re a little more interesting than a solid sweater, but still incredibly easy to wear with jeans or pants you already own.

The colors on this one are so pretty together! I also love the wider sleeve—it gives a simple sweater a much more current look.

This one just looks like fall to me. I love the classic rollneck mixed with the colorblocking. It feels preppy without being too precious.

This is such a polished take on colorblocking. Add black pants or jeans and you’re done, which is exactly the amount of effort I’m looking for most days. 😂
