I hope your weekend went well. How'd mine go? Well, I'm pretty sure the animals are trying to kill us. I expect it from wild creatures like mice and snakes, but we feed our animals! They sleep with their head on a pillow, for crying out loud.
Hold-my-tongue-and-lets-be-friends Joey, decided he did NOT want to go where my husband was leading and shoved him with all 1200 pounds. JD said he heard his neck go pop, crackle and pop as he hit the wood! Thank the Lord, he wasn't seriously injured, just sore.
Hickory and Maz thought it would be fun to explore the woods for hours, despite our calling, threatening, starting the car to leave, and yelling TREAT 100x. They finally came home wet and stinky, happy as clams, while I counted my new gray hairs.
Even though they were chastised repeatedly, the second the door was opened the next morning, Hickory took off again! JD had to walk miles until he found him, covered in ticks and limping. It's hard to fence in 80 acres, and without cell service, our tracking collars don't work. I'm ordering an off-grid GPS version this week, and if that doesn't work, I'm taking him to the pound. And by “pound”, I mean “my mother's.”
And Traveler? He decided to steal a charcuterie knife from the counter and chase me with it!
There's nothing quite like seeing a crazy, energetic puppy running joyfully with a knife pointed straight at you.
I was so glad to see the weekend end. You know it's bad when you're excited about a week that includes April 15th. 😢
The good news is, JD and I are actually traveling this week. Maz and Hickory are going to Boarding School, and Traveler is heading to my mother's. Joey will have to find some other sucker to hold his tongue, cause we're out of here!
Despite all of the animal craziness, I did manage to create a post. I'm going on a work trip, and I've found that wrap dresses, tops, and skirts work well for my shape. But there's a lot of other benefits to wrap silhouettes!
One of the best things I got this year was the Cadence system for my makeup, etc. These are great for travel since they're transparent, and the top is a magnetic closure. Also on sale is the XL parcel, which is what I use for my shampoos, hairspray, etc.
I am super excited about this skincare product I just got. It's VERY creamy. I've used it the last two nights and I woke up with very soft skin. I've also been using this Dime Glow Serum on my face and neck.
When I tell you that our animals have it made, I am serious. The ingrates! We love The Farmer's Dog for wet food, but we like to use dry food, too. We mix the two of them and dry is good when we're traveling and don't have a refrigerator on hand. They LOVE Sundays For Dogs.

My Style – Kohl's
I used to live a half mile from Kohl's and I rarely shopped there. I wasn't a fan, but I think they've really stepped up their game in the last year or so. These cropped linen pants are lovely, I'd wear the blue cotton top with a million things, these ballet slippers look great (or these sneakers) and the tote bag looks like something I'd get at a pricier store.
