Good Morning,
Do you have big Wednesday plans? I don't and that's a good thing! Give me a run-of-the-mill, ordinary day, and I will be happy. Yesterday was about as normal as it gets. I worked a bunch, then JD sent me this photo.

This is him helping my 88-year-old dad work. Apparently, Dad used the heavy equipment to move the dirt, and JD crawled under the porch with a shovel to spread it around. Everyone has a part to play. Some use horsepower, and some spend the day under a house in 100-degree weather.

I asked JD why he had to dismantle my beautiful porch planking to get under the house, and he just smiled and said, "It'll all work out in the end." Uh huh.

The good news is that the house is coming along. Decisions are flying at us from every direction. Last week, JD and I drove to Knoxville to order our metal siding because we wanted to be absolutely sure we were making the right choice.

When I say we, what I really mean is I.

Has JD already driven there three separate times to pick up siding samples? Yes. Did I still find a new color on their website that I suddenly needed to see in person? Also yes.

So off we went on our hour-and-a-half drive… only to discover they didn't have that color in stock. They offered to have a sample mailed from the factory, which would take about a week.

My brother/builder gave me the look. You know the one. The one that says, "Another delay? Really?"

A couple of days later, we noticed a random piece of metal leaning on the porch. Yep. It was the sample we'd been looking for the whole time. 🤣

Maybe JD is onto something. Somehow, it really does all work out in the end.

Now if someone could just convince my brother of that…

I hope whatever you're working on today—even if it's messy, delayed, or doesn't go according to plan—has a way of working itself out too.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Lisa ❤️

Today On The Website
I was looking for cute things to share, and I noticed that green is everywhere! It's very on-trend right now. Green is one of the most universally flattering colors because there are so many shades. Almost everyone can wear some green. The key is choosing the right tone for your skin's undertone.

Didn't expect Spanx to make a dress this cute, but here we are. Smocked waist means it's forgiving, too.

Tommy Hilfiger Wide-Leg High-Rise Jeans
Wide-leg is having a moment and this pair has the high rise that's actually flattering, not just trendy.
Tommy Hilfiger Sandals
A classic!
This is the throw-on layer you'll reach for constantly once it cools down. Love that it's open-front, easy over anything.

This top is a good basic. Available in other colors. The zig zag stitch detail gives it a little something extra without being fussy. Great with jeans or tucked into white pants.

Love a great wrap. They are flattering on almost every body type, and easy to throw on.
This dress is so cute. And it would work through fall.
Classic stripe, easy shape — the kind of dress you can dress up or down depending on the day.
Love this in the kitchen. Matte black goes with everything, and 15% off is a great time to grab one if you've been eyeing it.
These are a great transitional jean — cropped length means they work with flats or heels, and "featherweight" is not marketing fluff, they're genuinely light for summer.

I've ordered a variety to try, but this one caught my eye! Organic Spicy Chicken Bone Broth with Roasted Garlic and Chili — 25% off right now if you want to try it. The spicy kick is a nice change from plain broth.
My dogs LOVE The Farmer's Dog, but I've heard from friends who only feed their pup raw food. We Feed Raw has a great reputation.
I did this a couple of months ago and it was really interesting. I was happy to learn what had improved and what I needed to work on. Rachel is getting a membership, too. She wants a baseline for future tests.

My Style – The Gap
I don't know why I forget about the Gap. They have some great looking clothes and I've never had an issue with the quality.
Simple white dress with just enough detail at the trim. Would layer well with a jean jacket if you want more coverage.
A denim top that isn't bulky — cap sleeves keep it from feeling heavy in warm weather. Great with white pants.
Soft, cropped, and easy to throw on over a tank when the AC gets aggressive. Great price!
This bag is the kind of neutral that goes with every outfit in your closet. Slouchy, roomy, easy.

Living Well Tip of the Day
Use the Use "The Sightline Reset" to Restore Cervical Spine Alignment
The Chin-Tuck Glide: Sitting or standing up straight, look directly ahead. Place two fingers gently on your chin. Without tilting your head up or down, slowly glide your head straight back, as if you are trying to make a slight "double chin." Hold this position for 3 seconds, release, and repeat 5 times.
Why it works: Spending hours looking at books, screens, or down at tasks pulls your head forward into what physical therapists call "forward head posture." For every inch your head moves forward, it adds about 10 extra pounds of force to your neck muscles. This gentle chin-tuck glide re-aligns the cervical spine over your shoulders, instantly relaxing the overdriven muscles at the base of your skull and relieving upper-back tightness.
