A Well-Styled Life on a Budget

4 Polished Outfits for Women Over 60, Each Under $100

Like most of us, I want to look my best, but I don’t have unlimited funds. There is a limit to how much I can pay for a cute outfit. It may be harder, and take more time and research, but you truly don’t need designer prices to look put together. With a few simple basics and smart combinations, you can build complete outfits for under $100 that still look polished and modern.

Today, my challenge was to make four outfits and stay under $100. Seriously, you can spend a hundred dollars at the drive-thru these days! I combined a few higher-priced items with lower, budget-friendly pieces. Some are very inexpensive, but the reviews are solid. I think you’ll agree that it is possible to have a well-styled life on a budget.

Total: about $95

It’s pretty simple. A great two-piece set and accessories make for a look you can wear just about anywhere.

You can’t go wrong with dark wash denim. A deeper wash always looks a bit dressier and more polished than light denim, which makes these jeans incredibly versatile. Add a soft sweater and a “wow” pair of shoes, and you have a classic everyday look that feels cozy, but still put together.

Total: about $100

A simple dress is one of the easiest style tricks I know. There’s no matching or layering to think about. You just put it on and you’re dressed. This neutral tan and white dress feels fresh and timeless. Pair it with comfortable slip-ons and sunglasses, and suddenly you look styled without even trying. Throw on that denim jacket hanging in your closet, and you’re set to jet!

AI says, “Heck, yeah!”

Red Kitten Heels

Total: about $95

Cropped black pants create a clean, tailored look, while a wrap top gently defines the waist and flatters almost every figure. The shape is comfortable but still elegant. Adding red shoes gives the outfit personality without needing extra accessories. A small pop of color goes a long way. Put on some bling or a great wrap and wow!

AI approves.

Style after 60 doesn’t have to mean more clothes or higher prices. It’s really about choosing:

  • simple shapes
  • comfortable fabrics
  • classic colors
  • and pieces that mix and match easily

When your wardrobe works together, getting dressed becomes quicker and far less stressful. It really is possible to look good on a budget. Mix your quality pieces with less expensive ones, or shop your closet for the right accessories, and you’ve got great outfit options.
