Well, I know you're all wondering, and I'm happy to report that I am still employed. Whew. Y'all know I'm competitive, but you don't stay employed for 30 years without learning a thing or two about employee relations. I'm no HR specialist, but even I know not to hit the owner of the company with a wiffle ball. The CFO? He was fair game. |

they were smart enough to put us in a back corner away from all of the really good players. I did win a game or two, including one with our comptroller. If you're unfamiliar, that's the person at the company who apparently needs a receipt for everything we buy and “washed it in the pocket of my jeans, but I'm pretty sure that is a 2” doesn't cut it. Tomorrow is our actual meeting, and they told me as we were leaving that it will be short and sweet. I just need to tell them how my department did this year – in detail – and my goals for 2027. They were right about the “short” part, anyway. 😂 I hope your week is full of all good things! xo, Lisa ❤️ |

PS: I've moved "Save or Splurge" to the bottom, along with the website links. |
I link to a lot of high-quality, higher-priced brands in the newsletter, but not everything has to be a splurge. Amazon items can look just as chic when styled well and worn with confidence. |

Ruggable has so many lovely fall rugs now, and I am here for it! I am leaning into the whole barn/harvest vibe. I vacillated between whimsy and fall, but I think I've landed on this autumn doormat.. |
Splendid is a splurge, so I always look for sales. Today is the last day for 20% off. The whole Giorgie line is gorgeous loungewear. |
I have been eyeing this Tommy Bahama raffia tote for weeks, but it's $$$. If I lived among people, instead of crazy dogs, I'd bite the bullet. I don't have that much reason to carry an expensive, gorgeous tote. I've scoured the internet looking for a “save” and found some that were even more expensive. Sigh. This one from Talbots is similar, but half the price. And I found this on Etsy. |

You can wear this leopard print sweater on its own (see the link), but I love it with the white shirt underneath. Think about that when ordering. |
Tania brought one of these to my mom, and I steal it whenever I leave to go on a trip or spend the night at the barn. When Tania comes to town, I have to remember to sneak it back in before she gets there, lol. I bought Rachel one for her birthday, and I finally ordered one for myself. Below is how my hair looked after drying it with the round brush. Then I curled it with the ioncurler. |
Also, I need an eye job. Where do I order one of those?? |
Hilma has a ton of different products, but one of the issues I deal with most is indigestion. My dad should buy stock in TUMS. I've ordered this to try. It's a natural herbal antacid. |
I've shared these steak bites before, but it came in while I was out of town, and I got this text from JD. |
This past year, lots of people bought this vibration plate that is supposed to be great for lymphatic drainage. |
We're all obsessed with getting new glasses. Rachel fell in love with these. Vicci has some really cool options. |
I don't usually show products that have limited sizes, but I thought this was so unique. It is cashmere and cotton and on sale. If you are a S, L, or XL take a look. |

My Style – Ann Taylor Fall |
Say what you will, but I think Ann Taylor always has chic clothing. And they've added more casual items lately, too. |

Living Well Tip of the Day |

Use "Ankle Circles & Alphabet Tracing" to Preserve Lower-Body Stability The Ankle Reset: While seated in a chair or lying back on a couch, lift one foot off the floor. Slowly trace the full outer boundary of a circle with your big toe 10 times clockwise, then 10 times counter-clockwise. For an extra brain-body challenge, try "writing" the alphabet from A to Z in the air with your toe before switching to the other foot. Why it works: Joints lack their own direct blood supply; they rely on movement to pump synovial fluid (the body’s natural lubricant) across the cartilage. Ankle flexibility directly dictates how well your knees, hips, and lower back absorb shock during daily walking, steps, and lateral movements. Keeping the ankle joint mobile reduces stiffness, improves balance, and prevents compensatory strain up the entire leg chain. |
