Happy Monday,
I am officially back from my work/pool trip. I'll let you guess which one I did more of.

Kat was a lovely hostess, and we got to visit with several girlfriends over the weekend. Kyra showed up mid-morning because she had to run her usual ten miles first. This is right before I dunked her.

I love how our shadows look like stingrays under the water, lol. And that Kat took the picture from space. That's always a good angle when I'm in a bathing suit.

I think my Superpower results will show that I took the “Needs more Vitamin D” directive to heart. Now if they'll just say that Lemondrop Martinis are a good source of Vitamin C, I'll be set!

Now that I'm back home and ready to work, I've made some changes, based on reader feedback.

First, I’m trying something new with the newsletter. Gmail has a bad habit of cutting off my emails and making you click “Read More,” so I’m moving the shopping portion to the website. You’ll still get my usual note and photos here, then one click will take you to everything else—including Save or Splurge, Fun Finds, and all the good stuff.

Bonus: you’ll be able to leave comments there, too. I get so many funny and helpful emails from you, and now everyone can join the conversation.

I’ve also added a couple of new sections. One reader recently told me, “I don’t like your style choices, but I like you.” 🤣
Fair enough.
So now you’ll also get Margie’s Picks, featuring things my mother likes, plus Selling Fast, so you can see what everyone else is snapping up.
And finally, BIG NEWS for my game people. I’m testing a brand-new Mahjong game. I’m not replacing the other one (I’m not looking for a riot) but I thought we needed a little Mahjong drama around here. You can be my beta testers. It's HERE.

Thank you for being here. I hope you have a great week and get plenty of Vitamin D and C! 😉

xo,
Lisa ❤️

I woke up at 5:30 AM to make it back to town in time for church so I'm a little wrinkled, but I thought you might like to see my Chico jeans. They'll look cute this fall with some booties.

Living Well Tip of the Day
Use "The Open-Book Stretch" to Unlock Mid-Back Mobility
The Sidelying Sweep: Lie on your side on a bed or mat with your knees bent at 90 degrees and stack your arms straight out in front of you, palms touching. Inhale, then slowly sweep your top arm open like the page of a book, letting your eyes follow your hand as your top shoulder rotates gently toward the surface behind you. Hold for 2 to 3 seconds at the open position, return palms together, and repeat 5 times before switching sides.

Why it works: The mid-back (thoracic spine) is designed to rotate, but daily sitting and forward-reaching cause it to lock up. When your thoracic spine loses mobility, your lower back and shoulders are forced to overcompensate, often leading to lower-back stiffness and shoulder impingement. Keeping the mid-back rotational joints moving freely protects the lumbar spine, relieves rib cage tightness, and improves overall upper-body mechanics.
