This newsletter comes to you from the big city of Nashville today. I'm here visiting with Rachel and helping her prepare for a week of Vet Tech finals. I came bearing gifts.

After three days of intense studying, I am pretty sure I could audit the class and pass it myself. I can't wait to start peppering my conversations with little tidbits like, “Did you know the canine estrus cycle lasts 2 – 4 weeks?" or, “Oh, you just got a new kitten? Did you know their testicles are descended at birth?” I am going to be SO popular at the pet store.

Speaking of cats, Rachel's feline, Morphi, made me feel right at home.

On my first night here, he decided my Skin and Bone collagen looked appetizing, and proceeded to claw it open and spread it all over the counter. Kitty footprints led me right to the culprit. And if that wasn't enough, he slept with me on the couch so that I woke up with itchy eyes and a nose that wouldn't stop running.

I'm going to need a pickle (or twelve) of my own!

I spend a lot of time thinking about my house. I'm in the “not fun stage” right now – choosing where lights go and looking at fireplace inserts – but SOON, it will be time to decorate. I can't wait! I love this green rug from Ruggable. It's right up my modern organic alley and with three dogs, a washable rug seems like a must.
