I'm feeling a bit under the weather. We ordered pizza yesterday after church, and the 7th piece did me in. I wish I were joking!
A lovely reader emailed to ask how I thought the Veracity Metabolic Ignite supplement was working. It's doing the best it can under the circumstances. Unless it “ignites” my refrigerator, we're going to be locked in battle.

Speaking of battles, I also volunteered at our church VBS on Saturday. We formed two teams, and each won points for every Bible verse they memorized. For the second year in a row, my team lost. I have no idea why this keeps happening.

Obviously, I took my job as Verse Commander seriously. I look like I'm about to rap her knuckles with a ruler for saying “Thee” instead of “Thou.”
Oh well. One of the joys of volunteering is that no one can fire you!

Use the "20-20-20 Rule" to Refocus Your Focus
The Distance Horizon Shift: If you are reading, working on a project, or looking at a screen, pause every 20 minutes to look at an object at least 20 feet away (like a tree outside the window or a picture across the room) for at least 20 seconds.
Why it works: Your eyes have tiny focusing muscles that contract when you look at things up close. Holding that close-up focus for hours causes micro-fatigue that leads to headaches, neck tension, and mental tiredness. Giving your eyes a regular "horizon shift" allows those internal muscles to completely relax, resets your visual focus, and prevents that heavy, late-afternoon brain strain.
