Happy Friday,
I've had a fun week. 🙂
My friend, Tammy, and her daughter are in the US looking at colleges, and their journey brought them to Tennessee.
I met Tammy years ago on a trip to India. I'm not going to lie, she's kinda famous in certain circles.
As a young woman, she moved to India with a backpack and little else and started a home for children. Now, she's the mom of 46 kids. Yes, really!

Most of her children are now grown, many are married, and parents, and all of them are awesome! They are church planters, business owners, entrepreneurs, artists, etc. Two of her daughters now operate a family support program for vulnerable women and children in their area.

When I visited her and the kids as part of a small team, we stayed in rooms without air conditioning, slept on straw-filled mattresses, and took bucket showers. To “acclimate” us to the culture, she dropped us off at a busy market with a list of strange items to buy, like lungis and fanis. The only instruction was to haggle like a local.
Which is how I found myself negotiating with Indian vendors for a lice comb.
When she came HERE, I put them in a cottage near the lake with air-conditioning and a shower, took her on an evening cruise, let her drive the boat, and introduced her to southern culture with a plate of biscuits and chocolate gravy.

I'm not saying Godliness is a competition, but if it were, I think we all know who'd win.
I hope your weekend brings you all good things. I appreciate you being here!
Lisa ❤️

Living Well Tip of the Day
Try the "Ear Massage" to Quiet a Busy Mind
The 60-Second Pinch and Roll: Take a break from whatever you're doing. Using your thumb and index finger, start at the top rim of your ears and gently pinch and roll the outer edge, moving all the way down to the lobes. Pull down gently on the earlobes for a few seconds, then repeat the process once more.
Why it works: Your ears are densely packed with nerve endings that connect directly to your vagus nerve and parasympathetic nervous system—the system responsible for helping you rest and recover. Massaging this area stimulates those pathways, which instantly helps slow down a racing pulse, releases subtle tension in the jaw and neck, and leaves you with a warm, grounding sensation of calm.
