A Small Victory and the Tyre Surcharge

We're half way to the weekend. Whoo Hoo! So far this week, I've spent a lot of hours working on “house” issues. JD and I went to another fireplace store, and this time I was ready for all the extensive detail questions like, “What size is your fireplace,” and “What do you want?”

Next we went to the appliance store, and I swear the second we walked in, my husband forgot everything we'd agreed to and went rogue. I'm pretty sure the salesperson added a 10% Tyre surcharge to everything just for how aggravating it is to deal with us. And by us, I mean him. 😉

We also met with my brother/builder and I actually won a small victory. Years ago, I visited my friend Amy (with the fancy toilet) in Washington. She and her husband have a wonderful outdoor shower. Since then I've always wanted one!

I mean, look at JD! He's totally in his element. And there's plenty of room for the three dogs, too!

We went back and forth about it for a while but then my brother/builder said it'd be fairly easy to do, and that there was plenty of room. And then he added on the 10% Tyre surcharge and called it a day.

Fun Finds

This is the type of shirt you can wear forever. It would be so pretty with white pants or shorts. And it's on sale!

This is gorgeous and also on sale. I want to put one at the end of all my beds!

So many of my friends dress their husbands. I've always left it up to JD to decide what to wear. But, y'all. He got a pair of shorts 20 years ago and he wore them to the lake this weekend. Then we ate out at a restaurant. Trust me, it's time for an intervention. I ordered him these today. To see what he wore, click here, but fair warning…it's bad. I think you'll agree it's time for a new pair.

New Retailers

I feel like I've seen the same “new arrivals” for months. I've been on the hunt for some new retailers. Or at least, new to me. Are you already familiar with any of these? They have some cute clothes!

Coolibar makes clothing with SPF built in. This dress is also available in blue and white. I'm not sure why they have it buttoned so high, but I guess if you don't want sun on your chest you're set.

This wrap would be great on a sunny day. It comes in other colors too, but this one is on sale.

Are you familiar with Johnny Was? Apparently it's a California brand and available at retailers like Dillard's. I liked this linen blouse, and it's also available in black and white.

Gorgeous! Did anyone watch White Lotus last season? I'm not recommending it because, whoa, but this looks like something Parker Posey would wear at the resort.
